Axle Swap

I want to buy these Rims real cheap they are silver Z06 rims but they are made for 4th gen camaros. Spacers cost to much, I was wondering if I could just swap the axles. Not the whole rear end just the axles anyone have any clue??

Nice try, but your idea will not work.

why won't it work? I would think it should, since the only difference between the third and fourth gen rear's is the axle length... and of course the traction control and ABS, but you're still in your thirdgen, so you don't need to worry about those at all.

oh, and the rims aren't "made" for camaros.. the vettes and f-bodies have the same offset or backspacing or whatever... so the wheels are interchangeable.

" axle length" think about that for a minute. Like you said only difference between 3rd and 4th gen is 4" and that is the Axle Housing that the axle shafts go in.

Different rear completely. If you want those wheels its spacers and a 4th Gen rear axle assy. Or do a search on what others are doing to use the wheels you want.
