tranny problems - pressure loss?

Ok, I just rebuilt my transmission (700-r4). Besides being a total PITA, now I'm having problems. THe installation included a master rebuild kit and a transgo shift kit along with a new torque converter. We tried to drive the car around but there was no reverse, and all of the drive gears were riding as if they were underpowered. Someone said that it was something wrong in the valvebody. I was thinking maybe a loss of pressure in the pump. Does anyone have any ideas?

All help is incredibly appreciated, Thanks in advance,

Mike

maybe you should just take out the whole thing and buy a new one. It sounds like your car needs some work. Why dont you park it for the winter and hope it fixs it's self. Mike my car can run a 14.37 quarter and its stock. hehe just wanted to give you some crap brother...josh

Sounds like your boost valve popped out and is right now laying in the pan. Its a very common "rookie" mistake to put the snap-ring in, incorrectly. Inside the bore for the boost valve, there is the ring groove and a "step" that LOOKS like a ring groove. People often put the snap-ring on that "step" and as soon as you fire it up, the boost valve gets spit back out of the pump. Pull the pan and inspect the boost valve.

We'll check that out, I definatly appreciate the help. Any chance that we could've smoked anything internal?

Thanks,
