hello all hope you can help i have a 1988 iroc w/ 350 vortec i have been through two 700r4's since i bought it . both lost 3 and 4 gear fluid looks good can any help me w/ this problem please ?

 

sorry guys guess telling you what it is doing may help . okay the tranny shifts fine first and second but when it hits third it revs like it is in nutreul same if i am in od even if manually shifted hope that helps you out so you can help me out (pulling my hair out on this)

 

This is common, 3-4 clutch packs in the 700R4's do not have the capacity needed to last under HD or Street/Strip conditions. I have solved the 3-4 clutch problem, along with many other things in these units. If I can be of help let me know?

 

:hail: whew now that i know what the problem is can you suggest what i need to do to fix the ptroblem ? does it need a rebuild and would it be worth it ? i do have a b&m pro shifter bolted on it thank you for your reply you have saved what hair i have left ! :hail:

is there a doctor in the house? I wish I could afford that if only i had listened to myself when i first bought it I was ready to buy a brand new B&M 700r4 but stupid me listened to a freind and went the complete oposite way w/ a used one well guess where I am ?
