Shifting Problem with 700R4

the car shifts fine when im cruising around, but at WOT, it seems to be shifting kind of late.... my tach doesnt read correctly so i don't know exactly where it's shifting, but you can feel that it's going to far into the rpms where there's no power before it shifts. what could be the problem? the tranny was rebuilt about 5 months ago prior to me buying the car (early september)... would a shift kit help? one of my friends told me to get a new torque converter but i dont think thats the problem...

Try resetting your TV cable. If problem persist, call the guy whom you bought the car from and see if he has the paper work for the tranny. Should still be under warrenty.

the tranny is still under warrenty... except for the fact that the paper says that the warrenty is void if the car is sold to someone else.

i heard adjusting your TV cable could actually do some harm to your tranny... is that true?

The TV cable should be tight at WOT, if now the shifts are to late, change to a heavier weight governor. This will bring down WOT shifts.
