Simple t-5 clutch question

Hey guys......

Looks like I might be buying an 87 Firebird tonight and getting back into the F-body scene. The car is in great shape but needs a clutch.

Here's the question, what is the best OEM style clutch out there? The car is a 305 and will NOT be raced or abused. Just looking for a nice daily driver. I've got my Cutlass to beat on

I priced out a Fenco kit for $201 CDN, or Piston Rings kit at $228 CDN (I believe the name is Dynapac?)

Anyone have any experience with either clutches? Remember it's going to be a driver NOT a racer. Thanks

just call some place like smothers or kragen and ask for a replacement clutch, it will usually be a stock replacement and will be pretty cheap.

Thanks for the info.....but we have neither of those places up here in Canada.

I did end up buying the car. Already bought the clutch kit too. I went with the Fenco kit.

Looks like I'm picking up the car tomorrow morning, then putting the clutch in during the afternoon.
