installing 6 speed in an 86
i've been tossing around some ideas on what to do with my TA. i've decided that i'd like a manual transmision. i'd also like the car to be drivable on the highway, so the 6 speed is looking pretty good due to its high overdrive ratio. what is it going to take to get the 6 speed mounted in my car? i'm planning on eliminating the torque arm, so torque arm mounts will be unnecesary. oh yeah, there's another little twist.... i want to do it behind a Pontiac 400. has anyone done this swap with a SBC? i'm assuming it will be pretty similar other than the belhousing.
