best clutch possible
well I finally got my 82 camaro (converted to an 89 IROC vert back in 1995) back from the body shop and now I am going to have my mechanic drop in my 383 stroker motor from my truck into the camaro within a week or so. Now I would like to change the pressure plate, flywheel and clutch with the best possible products in the market. which combination would you guys recomend. the engine puts roughly 390 hp to the flywheel when dynoed on my truck. I know I know the ****ty 7.5" 9 bolt rear won't hang. thats comming a little later as the funds become available.

Personally I'm a fan of the Centerforce Dual Friction clutch setups. I've got one in my car behind the 350 with the 6 speed and I have no complaints about it whatsoever! I'm sure you'll hear different opinions from other members, but I'd go with the Dual Friction setup! Also, do a search of the forums, because this question is asked fairly frequently and you can get some ideas from previous posts. Good luck!!!!

What about the best clutch for a T5??? I keep buying GM clutches, but they only seem to last a couple of years. The first clutch I replaced was the factory clutch.

So far I've been very happy with how the Be Cool radiator and the LT-1 fans have worked out. At first I was disappointed in the Be Cool because the car was running too hot, but then I got the air dam installed and it did reasonably well with the original single fan and no shrouding. I got the LT-1 setup (stock, off a '93-96 F-body) off of ebay with the wiring pigtails for $75 including shipping. I've been told that this fan setup flows more CFM than almost any aftermarket setup you can get, and it seems to work quite well on my car. Cruising down the highway I usually don't see temps higher than 195 or so (I have a 180 t-stat) and on the hottest days in the city I MIGHT get up to 220, but as soon as I come to a stop light and idle for a while the temp starts dropping back down. I still wish there was a way to get my car to cool without having to constantly depend on the fans, but it does seem to work for now. If you search through my old posts you can find some information about the LT-1 fan install and stuff like that. If you have any other questions feel free to ask!

The best clutch out right now is the mcleod twin street but at $1200 it isn't cheap. Look at what all of the 4th gen guys are running, either spec, mcleod or slp.
