Ford rearend in 3rd Gen F-Body

I heard many people done this, they replace their stock 3rd Gen rearend with a Ford one that can take on more HP!!!

Is that true? Does Ford have a rearend that fits 3rd Gen F-Bodies without modifications? If it is, does anyone know the part number for that rearend and on what Ford car it was/is used if not the Mustang?

Thanks

it will not work, Fords rear ends do not have torque arm mounts. although you can get a Ford 9" from Moser that is modified for a third and fourth gens but thats only if you want to spend about 2G's.
