700R4 Question
I was just curious as to whether or not anyone has changed the servos and springs out in their 700R4 for a firmer shift at a higher rpm.
I would like to know what servos and springs everyone uses. Thanks.

I'll be doing this soon in the 700R4 from my Blazer. I'm going with the JET servos. I researched all the options, and they have the largest apply area of any servo available.
Lots of guys also use the stock Corvette servo. It may still be available new from GM, but I can verify that.

No, that is not a shift kit. It is actually better than using a shift kit and can be used in conjunction with a shift kit.

I would recommend using an upgraded servo with a shift kit. You won't get the full benefits of a shift kit with just the servo. The shift kit will also increase line pressure, and shorten the time required to complete the shifts.
