Fairbanks VS Pro-Built
Fairbanks VS Pro-Built
I've read alot about the Pro-Built 700r4's and understand they make a great product but has anyone had any experiance with a Fairbanks 700r4 or rebuilt one with their products? I was aware of Fairbanks long before I ever heard about Pro-Built.

No competition, Pro-Built wins.............. talked to him and super guy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable..
Only reason i didnt go with him for a trans is someone he developed parts with back in the day is located fairly close to me and was more convenient and he even suggested such :-)
Good guy to deal with i would recommend him 100% to anyone looking for a real 700r4 build :-)

Is Pro-Built located in CA? I know Fairbanks is in FL and I live in east Tennessee. I just thought if the Fairbanks trans and products were comparable then Fl is a lot closer and shipping would be considerably less.

Probuilt is located near San Bernardino in California. Even in Tennessee, Florida isn't all that close. Go with the best or you'll do it twice. I can tell you that from experience.... unfortunately....

Pro-Built charged me $150 to ship my tranny to south Georgia, right to my doorstep. I imagine it would be about the same for you...

They aren't cheap. But not that much more expensive than a stock rebuild..... Here is a link to the Pro-built site. The catalog has prices and there are links to show you what he does to upgrade a 700R4 to various levels....

is their rebuild kit the same as what is in there 700r4? if so that will save me alot of money. also how much hp and torqe will it hold up to. im planning on building a 350 or 383 and will run a superram and probablly afr 195's with a cam for it.
I looked at their site today and as fare as I can tell the only difference I can think of is that they have the expertise to make sure tha case is in top shape and in tolerance. Their price really isn't that bad plus you get a 2yr warranty.
