How Much......

How much would it cost to get the transmission professionally rebuilt on a 2.8 liter 5peed 86 Camaro?

That's a loaded question. It really depends on what's wrong with it. A basic overhaul and rebuild with no hard parts damaged should be about $500. I've done several for that price.

yeah that have a book called a labor manual or flat rate book. they can tell you the labor and the parts. only thing that would increse the cost of parts is if you need a new converter, valve body, or other hard parts, labor wouldn't change any.

Its really easy to do. Just do it yourself. You should be able to pick up a rebuild kit for like 100 bucks.

I'm not exactly the best as far as auto mechanics go so i'd rather have a pro do it. My girlfriend lives 30 miles away so if my car craps out on the way out to her house, it's a loooooooooonnnnnggg walk.
