The crossmember does not line up.

The main thing you'll need to conquer will be the torque arm mount. You CAN'T just leave teh torque arm off, as you will find out (probably the hard way) if you try it.

There's a kit out there to do this. Can't remember who makes it though. Think it was B&M. Anybody know for sure?

is this a strip car or will there be a lot of street driving? i would keep the 700 in there if you are street driving. cant beat a built 700. a few companies offer aftermarket built 700s for any power rate. the max ive seen one take is 685 at the crank

This will be A strip car for the most part I would say it might see the street once a month or so I was thinking the 350 becuse of the readyness of parts and the cheepness I have built a 383 11to1 with dart sports man II heads 250 nitrios. I'v striped the car of about every thing not needed I'm hoping for about 2500 lbs. it should be fun.

well 700s are plentiful in parts. i see more for the 700s then anything, but maybe thats because im looking for 700s and not anything else. if its gonna be strip then go with the 350 i guess. im a 700r4 kinda guy how much can a 350 handle anyhow?

hell, i dont know lol. i dont know a lot about stock ratios and durations and things, i just like putting in aftermarket stuff. you can always have one built to your needs. try www.700r4.com or www.camarotransmissions.com they both offer trannys that can handle 600+ TQ and HP and they list the ratio of each gear below the tranny. 700r4.com offers 4 or 5 stages of trannys so you dont have to get something thats overkill and save some money

B&M sells a changeover kit, also Hurst sells 350 or 400 changeover kit check Jegs or Summit.I went 350 because it was cheaper.
