weird axle wobble

Ive been trying to figure out a rearend vibration forever in a rear I built, which included 28 spline axles from a v6 car.

Anyway. in 1st gear (t5) at idle, 10mph on speedo. the left axle wobbles slightly, but the right axle wobles up an down big time.

Is this normal, or the source of my vibration?

I was gonna change out axles tomorrow, but wanted to get a heads up from anyone.. I'm looking at the flange part of the axle (where the wheel studs go) and it goes up and down.

It is not normal.

Sounds like you may have a couple of bent axles.

Put wheels on them and see if the wheels do the same thing; if so, you can figure it out.

The car almost shook it self off the lift with just the drums on, at 80mph on the gauge.

Somethings wrong..

So when the axle is rotating, it shouldn't wobble at all?

LIke the outside edge of the flange is machined PERFECTLY centered and round?

Another thing I noticed. When the drums (new) are on, the left side goes on and covers the backing plate. The right side when its on all the way, does NOT cover the backing plate. Weird eh?

My cousin told me he thought he carrier was too far to the right, but the gear pattern looks really good. and the backlash, if anything, is a little loose!

yeah i have the same problem with mine. i think the axle is bent(only happens on one side for me) and i am looking for a new one, which is a bitch because it has to be from a 90-92 f-bdoy with a 10bolt and drums.
