Which F-Body's come stock with Posi?

I'm probably going to ditch my Turbo Neon project & pick up another Camaro/Firebird.

Thanks, Joe

There's pretty much no way to tell by model or year... If it's a HO engine with gear ratio 3.42 or higher, then i believe they were required to have posi though...

Check the RPO codes... G80 is limited slip differential.

On the average, how much would it cost to have posi installed (part+labor)? Something able to handle up to 450 crank hp.

I really have no idea.

I'de say around $400-500 for the unit (Eaton/Auburn...something along those lines), then maybe $100 max for labor.

Don't quote me on that, i'm definitly not an expert.

No F-body came stock with a Limited Slip (RPO G80) it was a extra cost options. Required with some other RPO's ,however: no way to tell without the RPO"s on the car.

i think all TTAs and all 350 's came with posi, but i don't know for sure. what differance does it make what cars came with it and you wanting posi in your car? you need a posi.
slp is 100
28 spline axle is 250 if you need them
gear set is 200
install kit is 100
labor should be in the range of 3 hours

I'd also add the support cover, ~$150.

400 HP is the generally accepted max for a 7.5" 10-bolt.

The on-line version of the article leaves out a lot of details, such as cost. The magazine was around $1000.
