Tranny leaking from dipstick
They guy who installed my TH350 tranny I guess didnt get the dipstick in right and it leaks a little from there. I've been keeping an eye on the level and it doesnt seem to go down much. When it sits in the garage it drips a small puddle (2 or 3" diameter) in one day. I don't have time to fix it right now and I wanted to go to the Track Fri night and get some new baseline times.
Will it leak more when driving and pushing it? I cant really tell obviously when driving, I was imaging fluid shooting out everwhere, but like I said the level doesn't seem to go down much. I plan on fixing it next week during the week.

It'll leak more when sitting because the pan level rises when not running.
Before you start it up, pull the dipstick and look at the level. That's above the tube o-ring.

Cool, thats what I was wondering. It does seem to leak more when sitting, which seems not right because it is more viscous when cool. I was just concerned that with pressure when driving it might go shooting out of there, but it doesn't seem to, based on watching the level on the dipstick.
I kind of hate to leave it like that now, but I just dont have the time. Besides that dipstick looks like a bitch to get out and in again. Thanks

Is the fluid level supposed to be that high to where it is in the dipstick? Maybe I am thinking of a 700R4

If you have a pan drain plug, you might want to drain a little off first. If you don't have a drain plug, you still might want to...

Ok, yeah I got a pan with a drain plug. It just looks like a tight fit. I'll probably mess with it next week. I dont rembember seeing an o ring in the package with the dipstick when I took it over there. I guess the idea is to just get on that fits, put it up around the metal lip on the dipstick, then mash the dipstick in there to where the o ring makes a seal on top, or does the o ring actually go inside the hole? Sorry for the stupid questions but if Im going to do this Id like to do it right the first time
