Well i fish tailed the car into a curb and shattered my iroc rim and bent the driver axle so it woobles when i drive it, i cant locate the axle here in orlando..Does anyone no where i can find the correct axle or if someone has one for sale they would like to sell....And also how do you tell if it is indeed the axle that is bent out of curiosity........Let me know all help is appreciated this is my daily driver or was until i can get it fixed......

ohh yea it is a borg warner 9 bolt rear end in an 87 iroc z28....

 

The only real way to make sure the axle is bent is to take it out and inspect it but from the sounds of it the axle is bent, or maybe the whole rear end could be damaged. If you havent already you should have a shop look at it and make sure anything else isnt seriously damaged.

As far as finding a used one for a 9 bolt, I believe all 9 bolt axles are 28 spline so basically you just have to find a rear end and buy the whole thing or see if someone will sell you just an axle.

To give you an idea of how hard they can be to find, last weekend I drove from north of Toronto, all the way to Detriot to pick up a 9 bolt axle. There and back was about 8 hours total trip. I checked every junk yard around here and no one had anything.
