Replace converter with tranny rebuild?

Is it necessary to replace the converter if you rebuild your tranny? My 3-4 clutches are going in my 700 and I'll be rebuilding it later this summer.
The fluid still looks and smells fine.

It's always a good idea to replace it when you rebuild a transmission. If you have an aftermarket converter that you spent some coin on then check your local trans shops and see if they can flush the converter before you stick it back in.

It'd be going in the daily driver formula. So i guess I'll just replace it with a stock one.
Thanks

unless cost really becomes a factor i'd replace it. if cost is a factor i'd have it flushed and tested. draw back is flushing and testing cost will or could go towards the cost of a replacment.
