I was coming from a parking lot acceling hard when there was a hard knock and a grinding noise, I stoped and looked things over Now there is a loud clicking noise coming from what i belive is the front of the transmission 700r4. My first thought was the torque converter, But is there any chance it might be somthing simple like the torque arm or mount? No leaks and the fluid is not burnt. The clicking only happens when the rear wheels are moving not when i load up the stall. any ideas?
I have not driving it since for fear of further
damage.

You probly broke your tranny mount. Get the ES poly one it wont brake like the rubber ones.

 

That would be great if that was it since Im planing on replacing the tranny with a t-5 around july, I was going to just park it. I will take good look.
The noise sound like when a kid puts a sports card in the spokes of a bike. Its pretty loud in forward gears but I really cant hear it in reverse.

 

That noise sounds like something internal in the trans.

 

I remeber a long time back y car also would knock on accelation and make a werid nose. This was after i let a friend borrow it and he said he put it in N reved it all the way up and threw it into drive. My tranny blew a few months alter but it also loosend the bolts to the tranny wehre it meets the engine block.

 

I have never done a N drop., bad bad bad:nono: I checked the trans mount no go still good and nothing loose the tranny is still in there snug. I guess I park it till the end of july
