TV cable adjustment?

WHen i tired to do the adjustment for my tv cable (on a carb) i do not hear any clicks. What might i be doing wrong?

I know a lot of people have had issues with this. I have tried searching but i dont really see anythign about thie clicking noise i am supposed to hear.

did you try taking the car out for a ride after the adjustments? you might want to get a chiltons or some sort of book about it if your not having any luck with the boards. i was assuming you had an aftermarket carb thats why i suggested the kit. im sure i will have the same problem as you when it comes time to tune the car for the road. never ending projects

I have tired driving the car since, but i dont really think i did anything when messing with it. It sounds like it wants to go into gear, its just not. I dont want to take the RPM'S up too high to try to get it to shift. Anything else i can try?

get the pressure guage from www.700r4.com and do it right....the instructions in the chiltons or haines are ok for max line pressure only and at best are ballpark...the right way is with a pressure guage on the line pressure port taking measurements in accordance to an ATSG manual...Haynes does have tranny specific manual that is pretty good though
