ok a few weeks ago i put a 700r4 into my 87 bird 2.8 v6. the job turned out good and the trany shift good. all exept for today. i pulled into cvs parking lot in my town and hit the brakes to slow down and when i stoped i put the trany into park and when i let off the brake it pulled forward like it wanted to keep moving. i went in the store and came back out and it started up just fine but now every gear is drive. park, reverse, neutral, drive, ect. when its in park though it hold and pushes at the same time like i was brake standing ti or something? what the hell is wrong? i think the linkage is just off underneath. please help me asap.

 

Either the cable bracket is loose on the tranny, or the cable housing has broken at the tranny. I've had both happen to me.
