Please help with turbo 350 problem!!!???

I have a 350 camaro with a turbo 350 backing it... Well today I was going down the road and it shifted into 2nd gear and about 15 seconds after that BOOM!! it kicks out of gear but kicked back in and it kept doing that for about 1 mile. So I stop at a local parking lot and stopped the car and engine and let it sit for a minute...Well I started it back up and went to put it in gear and guess what it wont shift into any gear I put it in and it didnt even make an attempt to either it just acted as if it was in neutral. I dont know what it could be cause there is enough fluid in it and the shifter is shifting it into the gears but it just acts as if it doesnt catch the gear and i mean any gear no matter which one...SO if someone can help that would be appreciated..

ok I pulled the pan hoping for the worst. I expected to see multiple chunks and shavings in the pan. To my surprise there was only one chunk in it about 1/4" and a little bitty piece here and there but nothing major as it would look like if something had blown apart...so I pulled the filter and it showed nothing at all just normally wear. So I am really stumped now??? COuld it be the front pump??

Have you pulled the governor gear to see if the gear is "applecored"?

I think that you will have 1st and reverse if the governor gear has gone.

I'm no expert, just new to the Trans board since my tranny fragged two weeks ago.
