The LS1 version does not work directly on a Gen 1 SBC.
93-97 Camaro or Firebird with LT1 is the one you want. Get the trans, flywheel, bell housing, clutch, hydraulics, shifter. You'll need some method of re-calibrating your speedo as the LT1 VSS gives about 20 pulses per revolution instead of the 4 your speedo needs. Your drive shaft and pedals will work. You'll need to fab or otherwise acquire a crossmember.

So the ls1 6 spd only works for the ls1, will the lt1 6 speed bolt to any chevy small block? the 305, or maybe a 355 i built myself?
and the one i built is carburated, are there any problems i run into by that?

The one I have bolted up to my 83 L69 at the moment seems to fit like a glove. So yours probably would too. The flywheel could be an issue though; if your motor is a 2-piece rear main seal one (pre-87) then you'll need a special flywheel.
