Confusing Clutch Problem
Hey all, I'm at a complete loss as to what to look for. I tried a search, but really didn't know what to look for or how to word it. So please excuse me if this has been asked a few hundred times, I haven't seen anything like it posted.
I have a problem which I'm assuming is clutch related. The clutch is only about a year old and should have roughly 10,000 miles on it. It was installed by my friend at a dealership he works at. (18 years old, working at the dealership for about 6 months, first clutch job ever)
The clutch was fine for a long time. Never felt bad, but somehow didn't feel perfect. The car had a going clutch when I got it, and the only reference to a good clutch comes from my dad's work truck and his 81 Vette. Something just didn't feel as tight about mine, if that makes anysense. Anyway, the point is, just until about a month ago it feels as if the clutch isn't engaged in the higher RPM range.
It grabs low, starting from a stop is no problem, pulls nicely, but once it gets to about 3-3500 rpms it seems that the engine is spinning faster than the car is moving. I hope that describes it well enough. The pull is lost. I know about the downfall of the TPI up high, but this is different, it didn't feel like this before.
Some more history - In November, my 305 didn't enjoy being in the car anymore, so I had a Jasper 350 put in at a local performance shop. The transmission shifts fine except for a few little quirks. Sometimes is hard (really hard) to downshift from 3rd to 2nd and sometimes 1st from a stop. If I let the car roll a bit, it will go into 1st no problem. Reverse grinds a bit if I don't put it into 5th and then reverse.
*Not sure if I mentioned, but it was a Centerforce 2 Pressure Plate, Clutch Disc and a new throw out bearing. The flywheel was resurfaced. Nothing more I can think of to say.
I would like to thank anyone and everyone in advance for any help that can be provided.

I don't know off hand, but I can find out tomorrow.
Also, I have read some of your replys when I did a search, and figured that might be my problem, but my symptoms seem different, so it was worth asking.

tranny issues
First let me start by apologizing I am new to posting. Anyway I have purchased an 88gta. I am the third owner and the person I bought it from had no clue as to what had been done to the car other than what his mechanic had done to it. That aside I figured I would drive it till I broke something. Well it looks like I just lost the throw out bearing and am going to pull it this weekend. Now from what I have researched it should be a t5 correct? anyway any info you might have as to what to look out for would be greatly appreciated. I bought if for a project and it looks like ready or not I'm diving in.
