I need help really bad (4L60E)
Sorry for posting non thirdgen(I've tried other massage boards but I got no help)
Here is the story:
I was driving my truck 97 Silverado Z71 on the freeway about 70 MPH all the sudden the truck kicked in nutral, my tranny won't go in any gear at all and when I put it in Park it makes a little grinding noise.
the fluid is red and there is no chunk of metal or else in the pan.
I put the truck in Drive and I gave it gas it did not shift at all or move an inch sounds exactly like it's in nutral.
Any idea????

well, you could check the cable and see if it is broke, that would be an easy fix and if not, then you would know that your cable is good.
