World Class T5 Questions
ok im in need of a need tranny as it is and with the 383 the stock t5 wont last long. its not the smoothest shift between gears, i cant downshift to third (i have to fake like im going to second then hit third) and it grinds like something horrible when trying to put it in reverse. besides that i dont know much about the world class t5's and wonder how much power they can hold up to and if there is anything unusual involved with the t5 to t5 WC swap. also how would one tell the difference between the WC t5 and the regular t5?
BTW my search button is literally broken. i think its a broken server link however IIRC i didnt find much when i researched a couple of weeks ago.

ok got my searches to work and also went over to some other sites and sorry for wasting space!!! i appareantly have a WC t5 and even "World Class" GM transmissions are junk.....i need something to handle 500 TQ and then spray, can i have mine rebuilt to take this abuse? surely it would be cheaper than a t56 since 6th gear is nice but not important to me. i thin kid even blow a t56 away with what i want to do

Search for the G-Force T5, you can get it as a kit to upgrade your current T5 or buy one complete from them. The new Tremec T500 or T600 would probably work for you as well.
I need some more info on this as well where can i get a stronger T-5. Im goin to drop in a 383 and i know the tranny will go. I heard of that rebuilt kit you were talkin about but isnt il like 900 dollars you can almost buy a t56 for that.

You can get their basic kit for like 1100.00 And it will hold up to 650+ When I spoke to a tech of thiers. $1100.00 is a lot of money but it beats spending $1000.00 a time when You kill one or the time it takes to take it out 6 or 7 times.
