Take apart t-5 yoke?

Didn't find the answer using the search so is there a take apart yoke that is made for or is usable for the T5?

Thanks

I've never seen any such thing for any transmission.

However, the T-5 uses the same yoke as a 350 or PG (later model) or 700 or the smaller 4-speeds; so anything that fits those should work. Not the same as early PG or 400 or the larger 4-speeds.

Of course I cannot find a picture of one to post but if you have a summit catalog go to the hardcore racing section under Moser Eng and they is a picture of one. On Summit's website they use the same pic for everyone and it is not a take aprt one.

Well I'm an idiot, so in cases like that I just go straight to the mfr's web site. You'll have to excuse me.

http://www.moserengineering.com/mose...s.asp?CatID=11

Which one is it?

The one that fits the T-5 is the TY-600.

I don't see any at all on there for any transmissions, that come apart.

TY650 listed in the summit catalog but like you I went right to the Mosor website and cannot find that one. I bet it would work but at $155 I was hoping there was alt choice.

Check out the desc:

If it fits a Glide, it will fit a T-5.

It uses the wrong U-joint for a stock drive shaft though.... it's set up for the Spicer (outside clip) ones. You'd have to have one of the "conversion" type ones; or put a different yoke on the shaft.

What makes you want to be able to separate the yoke from the shaft?

I am putting one in my vette and you have to drop the shaft from the trans end in order to get it out. I can use the stock yoke but then I would have to press the u-joint in with the shaft in the car and would have to remove the trans to get the shaft out.

On some RWD cars, the rear pumpkin can be unmounted and moved out of the way without unbolting the halfshafts. I do not know if this is feasible on the Vettes, but it's helped me save time in the past.
