New Tranny won't go into gear?
I got finished putting my T5 in. It won't go into any gear at all, it just grinds. The clutch has been bleed, and fork travels about 5/8 or 3/4 inches. The pedal feels very mushy until it's more than halfway to the floor, then it gets some pressure.

Look at the pic, and tell us which way you put the throwout onto the fork.

Look at the little purple circles.
See the little tab looking things in there? they're not supposed to be outside the groove in the bearing; they're supposed to be inside it.
If I was going to write a description to go into a textbook or something of what putting it together with that spring clipped onto the outside of the throwout bearing makes a clutch act like, I could use your exact words. You described it about as accurately and concisely as it can be done.

"The simplest explanation that fits all the facts is usually the right one."
