B&M megashifter
Ok, before you give me crap about this shifter sucking, back off, lol. I like the way it feels and performs. Anyway, I am having a problem with the wiring. They say to use this 5 amp relay from radio shack. Most people I have heard from have said these tend to blow easily. What relay should I use, and where can I find one. I need to know ASAFP about this. The shifter is in the car, just got to finish the wiring. Thanks in advance.

get a 30amp one from radio shack. this is for the P/N safety switch, right?
Did you get the reverse lights working? Do you remember which wires are for the reverse lights?

the answer to your reverse light question is...
sorta.
They work, but they stay on in park, nuetrul, and reverse. THey are off in drive and other gears, so it is just an annoyance at this moment.
I think I have solved the relay prob using the relay thet said to use, only downside is the car will start while in gear.

If you wire up the relay correctly, it should only start in park. If you look at the switches on the side of the shifter, you will notice that one is only closed when in park. I haven't wired up my P/N switch yet, I just put a cotter pin in the stock harness connector and put tape over it.

well yeah, you know what I mean...what I meant was thats where you have to look if your reverse lights are staying on when in say, driver or park......one of those prongs is what causes it...I dont remember which one.
SOmetimes my lights are on and I just have to tap the shifter towards the passenger side to disingauge one of those prongs.
