thanxs for all the info that you have put on here so far it has become very helpful. I still have a couple of questions though, on the vss how do you hook it up if you dont have a comp controlled speedo on the 82 it still has the gear what do i need to do I dont have a t56 yet but I am trying to get all the possible info I can before I purchase one so anything about them and installing into an 82 would be greatly appreciated. hey 82z28mo. Could you possibly send me anything you've learned about swapping a t56 for your 200c. I really want to switch to a manual tranny, and 6 speed is a sweet thought.

speeometers aren't "computer controlled."

Your speedometer has a VSS, complete with wiring in the back of it.

I think the problem he is having is that the T56 has a VSS rather than a cable driven speedo attachment.

I agree.

One way is to get a "Cable-X" to drive the speedo cable off the VSS signal.

I have also thought about going with a built turbo 350 what do you think I know that sounds kinda dumb but the change over sounds really comlicated and expensive

You have some nice highways in Missouri. I vote for the T56 with overdrive.
