TV Cable Problems

I did an engine/transmission swap, in the original car the transmission would shift right, and all was good. I believe I pulled on the cable during the swap. I look at the cable and I see a bend in it. I try to set it, I do what I read and I don't hear any clicking. Also it holds the gears for a long time. Any ideas? Could you/how much would it cost to replace this? Thanks for any help.

call up your local parts store and ask how much a tv cable is for what ever the car was you got the engine out of and they will give you a price they arent that expensive .......but before you buy one you should unhook the cable from the carb/tbi/?? and pull on it alittle and make sure it has tension against it when you pull on it because you may have broke it or popped off the hanger in the transmission ............

I'll try that, how would I know if something was damaged inside the transmission? Any idea why I don't hear this "clicking" sound?
