add oil untill it runs out, or it should run out when you pull the plug

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
And make sure you check it on the passenger side, not the drivers' side; the plugs on the driver side aren't for filling or checking.

Make sure the trans is cold too. Otherwise your gonna get a trans fluid bath.

right hand side of tranny, top plug remove and insert your first joint of your finger. if you have oil on the tip of finger it is okay. and do not remove the plug on the left side at the top or you will have to remove tranny and have it fixed.

you should be able to get a 9/16 open end wrench on it or a cresent wrench. if it has a square head plug. or if someone has put a allen head in it it might be a 3/8 allen wrench.
