For a stock configuration axle, the Superior is porbably the best deal; it's heat-treated after splines are made (by rolling rather than cutting), rather than the metal being left just barely soft enough to be able to cut the splines and then ship them without further heat-treating.

Not that the others are bad products; just that the process used by the OEM, is better than the process of custom-creating an OEM duplicate axle.

well considering that moser warranty's their axles against breakage "due to excessive horsepower"

im gonna say moser.

if you have a 31 spline axle, and you snap it off they will replace them, with 33 spline axles free.....if you break those you get 35, up to the 40 spline axles.

granted, you need a new posi unit, and eventually probably a bigger carrier for the bigger axles, if you snapped off a splined end, you need the bigger axles anyways.

this warranty comes on a card from moser with their axles, and is good for 10 years from the date of purchase

now that sounds like a hell of a warrenty and if that is the case willing to gaurd against exessive hp I would go with them if I was building a nice street car.
wonder if I cna get 40spline axle for my car

From a warranty and customer service standpoint, Moser is tough to beat. I've dealt with them numerous times over the years and have never had a bad experience. I've sent back axles to be shortened, resplined, flanges redrilled/tapped, etc, and their turnaround time is unreal (within 2 days). The local machine shops couldn't even come close to their prices. I run their standard 35 spline axles in my mid 9 second, 3500# car and have never had a problem. They're also at nearly all the major drag racing events for support.

I dont have any specific experience with any of them but from what I understand youre simply not going to break a moser 12 if youre making less then a 1000 hp. So if it wont break, ya cant do much better then that.
