question about setup
Does anyone think putting in a TransGo Shift kit(automatic/manual valve body) and a Hurst Dual Gate Shifter well be benenficiary in my Iroc.

The trans go is BENEFICIAL - definitely. The stock shifter also kind of sucks a lot - loose, unsafe when manual shifting, etc - so yeah, whatever better shifter you can find will help when you go to manual valvebody. If you're driving it daily on the street, I'd do the automatic version, not full manual, but hey, it's your car - do what you want.
The shift kit is relatively easy to install, once you understand what the instructions are saying. You'll need or at least be better off with a few tools such as a snap ring tool, a hammer, a drill, some pliers, some patience, and lots of brake clean (aside from the usual metric socket set). I also used some large tweezers.
