Tranny Strangeness?
Lately, the Firebird has been shifting strangely.
What happens is that when you jump on the throttle at around 45 MPH, it drops down a gear and accels upward through it (2nd?) and then before it goes into the next gear it feels like there is a hesitation, followed by a slight increase in RPM's prior to actually dropping into the next gear. There is no jekring or anything like that but it's clearly not a normal shift flow.
What is that? Should I be worried?
Trans was serviced at the begining of this year.

Sounds like the 2-3 flare-up. Make sure your TV cable is adjusted properly (and that your throttle valve spring isn't worn out causing the cable to seem to be properly adjusted).
If that all checks out, you might consider upgrading to a corvette or better 2-4 servo (the one in the side of the case)..

I found this on the web concerning TV cable adjustment:

That's a start. Thanks TG88.

Here is another article (EXCELLENT Piece!) that explains everything you need to know about the throttle valve systems in 200-4R and 700-R4/4L60 transmissions (and the potential problems):
Bowtie Overdrives: TV System 101
These guys also make AWESOME kits for setting up the TV system on aftermarket setups (edelbrock/holley/whatever). Oh, and you can also buy a line pressure gauge (essential for ensuring your tv cable is not just adjusted properly, but WORKING properly) for like $30 through them..

Indeed awesome.
Cracks me up how clean the pictures show the components of the car. Mine's a horrible mess in comparison.
Thanks again.
