Help fast shifting 700 r4
I had my tranny rebuilt in my 85 iroc. It has a trans go shift kit, corvette servo and a 2800 lockup stall. It shifts too fast if i floor it it will spin the tires in first shift at 4500 rpm into second second about 4000 3rd about 3500 then right away into 4th at about 3200. Trans guy said it was normal and it was shifting fine. It doesn't even spin the tires going into second unless i run it in drive. Getting sick of manually shifting it and I would like to use the full potential of this motor. See mods below. Thanks for any replies!!!

How do I go about doing this. Can I buy them and change them while it is in the car?? Or is this a trans shop item??

its is very easy to change the govener... there is a cover that pops off the the drivers side of the tranny near the back and the govener just pulls out and you can slide a new one in

So this means once I do a bit of engine work and I'm going to have power all the way to 6k, I can change my WOT shift point just by swapping out a governor weight, with no need to drop the trans?!
