t-56 shift replacement
Hey guys, I need some opinions. I'm gonna be changing the clutch in my t-56 that's in my 91, I'd also like to change the shifter as well (it's the stock hurst that came on the 96) Wanted to know what shifter you recommend? (B&M, Pro 5.0, etc.)

I LOVE my B&M. I've also driven cars with Pro5.0 shifters and they feel quite good.....I like my B&M a little better though. The stock Hurst is worthless, but the billet version is supposed to be good. I've never driven one so I don't know.

I'm using a Hurst Billet Plus shifter with my T-56 and I like it quite well. The only problem I have is that the lever they provide with the shifter is kind of long for my liking. It's ok for now with my stock console, but eventually I want to install a 4th gen console and it will look really tall coming up out of that console. I'd recommend the Hurst though, I've been quite happy with mine!
This kind of gives you an idea of what I mean by how tall it is:

(please ignore the NASTY floormats, they're just protecting my new carpet till I can get some decent mats
)
