Hurst Billet Shifter - what does it look like under the boot?

Installing a t-5 in my vette and want an aftermarket shifter but it has to be straight up install compatible, is the shifter base straight up with the handle being curved and bolted on? Pics of the shifter without the boot would be great.

Thanks

The f-body T5 is tilted to the side. If you are using a T5 bellhousing, the overall shifter will be pointing basically straight up.

To answer your question, on a Hurst Comp Plus the shifter lever itself is bent . The stick is straight. I have zero reason to think that the Billet Plus would be any different. Sorry, no pics.

And a Lakewood so as to run a straight out fork and tilted trans. is a better idea than what you are trying to do.

No can do, the speedo output would hit my crossmember so I need the trans straight up. Trans is already in the car using my vette bellhousing so am looking for a shifter that has a straight up base. Going to be using the stock shifter for my test runs then switch it out once I get everything

The Hurst shifter can be disassembled and that part straightened out.

Would not a 90 degree adapter take care of the speedo issue?

Not sure what part you are refering to.

Already have on on there, if the trans was rotated it would hit the cross memeber.

I am set on going with the straight up route after test fitting the trans in with the f-body bellhousing, too many thing to fix, alter and buy if the trans is tilted.

Now back to the orig question, does that base stick straight up?

Umm, how about the crossmember attachment? The pad on the back of a T5 is tilted 30 degrees as well.

Guess I'll go with a Pro 5.0 shifter since it has the straight up base, thanks

Will be welding up a custom bracket for it.

the thing I'm not a fan of on the Pro 5.0 is that at least on the ones I have seen, the stick and the shifter are smooth surfaces. My Comp Plus was splined. Keep those bolts tight, keep the allen wrench in the console and good luck with the swap.
