700R4 question
i have a 700R4 with a lock up on it and i have no idea what that means, if someone can answer that it would be great. thanks

Basically, lock-up is is when the torque converter clutch locks itself to the torque converter housing, causing a perfect 1:1 ratio between the engine flywheel and the trans. input shaft. All torque converters slip to a certain extent and this is just a way to prevent it. It just helps improve fuel economy at higher speeds (+35 mph).
