Is my trans dead?
Yesterday and today the 3-4 shift was coming in late. Like 1000RPM later then it normally does. Then my 1-2, 2-3 shifts began coming 1000RPM late and banging into gear when they do come, and I can be going 45MPH in 3rd gear with my RPMs at like 2500 and it will not shift into 4th gear. So my 1-2, 2-3 shifts are now coming in very late, banging into gear, and I don't have 4 gear anymore. Before I tell my parents my car is DOA, it's pretty safe to assume the trans is on it's way to completly dying right?
I checked my fluid level with the car hot and idling, it's perfect. I checked my TV cable, it's the same as it has always been.

Well today it acted normal. I never went into 4th gear (drive to work is only 1 mile, all 25 MPH). 1-2, 2-3 shifted normally. Could it just have been some dirt in the valve body or something?
I think I'm gonna replace the filter and fluids.

The servo is in charge of 1-2 shifts, and somewhat on the 2-3 shifts IIRC. They're about 15 dollars SHIPPED via eBay. That's how much I got mine for, it has all the gaskets and everything I could need, look for a Corvette servo... they have roughly 35% more grab area IIRC.
They're also really easy to install.

have been invaluable sources for the swap
the corvette servo also increases transmission life expectancy because it will shift into the gear faster, thus less wear on both gears between shifts.
