How do I take the gas pedal pad off?

I just bought me a new pedal set and got the brake and clutch on fine but how does the plastic gas pedal cover come off?

i've taken them off other GM cars and it just folded over the pedal with a lip around it. I'd check that out first. i doubt it's screwed into the pedal.

Nice drawing but he is asking how to remove the rubber cover on the gas pedal, not how to remove the gas pedal.

Gas pedals are plastic all the way thru. There is not a cover.

With my pedal covers they screwed right into the plastic pedal.

Most just bolt or screw right over the old ones. [mine just bolt around them]

Its just a rubber pad man. Just pull n pry it off. It may take some effort but id make sure n see if the pedal don't fit on, with the old pads in place. Some times them kits account for that and removing the rubber pad makes them not fit tight.

Nice how the gas pedal pad stick out around the edges but the hold down wont tighten enough without the pad there. Could trim it but naaaa who look at them that often.

99% of the reason I have them is for grip, not looks. Nothing worse them your feet slipping of the pedals from, oil,mud .......

I need to quantify my response, my 90 did not have a cover the whole pedal is plastic. The hex pattern is molded right into the plastic. I don't know about earlier years or camaros.
