i'm looking for a good high performance tire that is offered in 16"....i've been looking, but dont' have much knowledge in tires....i've read a lot of people like the eagle f1's...but i'm not sure if they are the best...it would be greatly appreciated if somebody could help me out with a list of good tires...thanks in advance.

 

those tires are pretty good, a couple of my buddies have them, for the money, i say go with them

 

I reluctantly bought a set of Kuhmo's to replace my discontinued bfg comp ta zr's. Awesome tire. Not as good as the bfg (imho) but I was impressed. $80 a pop sweetened the deal!

 

Yeah--Kumho's are excellent, big in SOLO II, too, and some places are offering a set of 4 mounted and balanced for $300.

 

Dont do the Goodyears man they suck. Be careful of tirerack reviews they did not serve me well. Check this thread out

Kuhmo 711s are only $57 a piece from tirerack plus shipping. 245/50/16s

 

Kuhmo's are sweet, I got them for $86 each put on my wheels and they have survived countless brake stands and 1000's of miles, when my car was streetable.

 

so kumho 711's or what??? also how big of tire can i fit on a 16"x8" rim??

 

I just put pep boys (futura super sport) tires on my camaro and they arent bad at all. But I did have a set of BF Goodrich radial T/A's on my firebird, that I found a strong liking for

 

the 711s suck ( good for daily driveing but spin very bad at the track) the only good ones are the 712s
