Need speedometer Gear....... help..!!

Hello all..... I am in need of some assistance

I need a 44 Tooth speedometer gear.

I changed my rear end from 2.77 to 3.23 in my 89 IROC 5.7ltr.
(Rear-end out of 91 Z 5.7ltr)
My old gear is Red a 37 tooth.

The dealership are the only people that I can find in MEMPHIS that sell a gear. They tell me the only way I can get it is it I buy the aluminum housing it sits in to and its $45 bux.....!!!!
And I will have to wait 10 days.
And its special order so if its wrong then I still eat it.
I believe the color is "Dark Grey"

If anybody has one, could you send to me COD and i'll even toss you some loot for it.

I've got a 45 tooth if that'd be close enough for you. How's $10 shipped? PM me if you're interested at all. I know its not your 44 tooth, but it'll be very close. I was going to use it for my 2.73-->3.23 swap but it turns out the rearend I had bought was just a 2.73 anyways. I now have a 3.42 in the garage waiting to go in, so I won't be using this gear at all (never used, bought from GM).

Though, I'm pretty sure you will need that sleeve the dealership is talking about because I think there was a different VSS sleeve when the gears went to 40-toothcount and up.

Go to www.transmissioncenter.net that is where I got my speedo gears and the aluminum housing to fit it for about 35.00. They have the formulas for figuring what you need. I'm going to a 700R4 in my car with 3.73 gears and a 245r15 tire. Check them out, I think you find what you are looking for.
