vette servo

this is a little off topic but, has anybody installed a vette servo combonation in a 4th gen with the trans still in the car? if so how did you drop the angle of the trans enough to remove the servo?

I bought the Corvette servo and longer pin kit. To install the longer pin we had to pull the trans. Not enough room to get the longer pin in. Now wondering if it was worth the trouble or if I'd been better off just trying to re-use the original pin.

If you use your original pin and get the servo installed, please let me know. I have another one to install.
