q8iroc--listen to Pasky. The T56 does not fit the early V8 bellhousing you have. You need the LT1 bellhousing or a Weir bellhousing.
Is your T56 bolting up to your bellhousing? Is the only problem the slave cylinder? Then you already have an LT 1 bellhousing and this can be worked out. Many people on this site know much more than me about this--it will work out.

Ok, just pu the spacer on the bellhousing, make sure the clutch fork is grabbing the yoke (throw out bearing). The way to check if its seated on the throw out bearing correctly is to push it forward, if it falls lower, its not on right and you will bend your cylinders. Just ask me how I know =/ Seat it correct and put the slave cylinder on and just push it against the fork, the pushrod on the slave will compress and get the two nuts on the studs and tighten it up. Test your work after everything is tightened by sitting in the car and pressing the clutch pedal. If everything is okay, it will push to the floor without any resistance. If you find the pedal is extremely hard to push DO NOT FORCE IT TO THE FLOOR. The fork has moved and is out of position if this is the case. If you force it you will bend your master cylinder's pushrod. Just ask me how I know

Excellent--thank you. My fotos are too big to attach to this site; I haven't figured out how to reduce them but I have several cars. You are obviously a Camaro dude. Congradulations on the T56 swap
