Speedometer not Accurate

I've got a stock 89 formula 305 TBI with a 700R4(I Think). My speedometer reads higher than I'm actually going. It reads 65 when I'm going 55. I think that it incremantly adjusts. when going 30 the speedo reads 38. What can I do to fix this, and avoid anymore speeding tickets

Slow down cowpoke and stop speeding!!

Seriously, since you know how far it's off, I would do a little conversion chart you can tape to the dash so you can reference it while driving. Something like:

Speedo says 65 but I'm really going 55.
Speedo says 38 but I'm really going 30.
Etc etc etc
