New Driveshaft Needed...How Strong is Stock???
opnions on if i should invest in a new driveshaft...i have the alumnium driveshaft now (car is not 1le but 305 tpi) and i will be dropping in a 450+ hp 383 with a 150 shot. is my driveshaft strong enough for this motor? how much power can the stock alumnium driveshafts handle?

I plan on replacing my DS as well, I'm not sure about what the stock alum. fbody drivshafts' are rated at I know there's plenty of guys running high HP LS1's and a stock shaft. I'll bet denny's driveshaft could tell you how strong a stock alum. driveshaft is, they'll probably wanna sell you one of theirs if you call em tho.

yea lol. i want a new one but if its not needed i already have alumnium snd im fine with that. i just need to make sure its balanced!
