700R4, where to find?

My tranny in 91 5.7 just died and now im looking into buying one. So far I have see the raptor junior level 2 that I like and the TCI street fighter. Is there anything else out there that is just as good and a bit cheaper or do I have to shell out big bucks? They both run about $1600. I really need a tranny but dont want to make a wrong choice. Thanks for the help in advance!

So that's all I would need to get my tranny going again? I took it to a shop and they told me that the 3rd and 4th gear were all messed up and that I needed a new tranny.

Here are my two picks:

ProbuiltAutomatics, who is on thos board and a very smart transmission man. I've talked to him a few times and more than willing to help..

The second it Jimmy's Transmisisons in Mundelein IL. He has done mine because ProBuilt vouched for him and they actually worked together years ago on designing and testing some parts to make 700's actually last up with real power(he is local to me)

later
