Question about installing Vigilante Converter

Question about installing Vigilante Converter

Percision Industries recommends removing the check ball on the input shaft.Anyone done this and could tell me whats involved with removing it?

From my experience, there are 2 types of input shafts that retain the checkball. One was a retainer and the other seemed to be cast as part of the shaft. On the one shaft I drilled out the shaft large enough to allow the ball to pull out, the other I just removed the retainer.
