4th gen rear, do i need this bracket

I got this auburn posi 3:42's rear off of a 4th gen. I got all the cables and such. For the e-brake. Do I need that bracket right above the 4th gens driveshaft right where I got the e-brake cables off? Hows that bracket come off if i need it? I'm not sure if this e -brake cables will twist in right with my 3rd gens bracket. Better to find out now then when the car has no rear in it and i'm stuck

im sure you could use that bracket.... drill out the spotwelds, and then have someone weld it onto your trans tunnel..

most of us just made our own brackets..... but we didnt have the other bracket to start from.

I used the stock 3rd gen e-brake brackets on the body and used 92 Camaro e-brake cables, the ones with the rectangular slot on the caliper end. You just have to make the slot a little wider to fit over the e-brake arm on the caliper. I've got 98-02 rear brakes on the car, you didn't state what year the brakes you have are.
