No reverse?
I think I may need a new tranny.Heres what happened.I get home from going out one night, and I smell what smells like antifreeze coming under the hood,I ignore it because i figure it might just be a small leak. The next morning i go to leave, and i put my car in reverse and it dosent move, like its in neutral.I try neutral, and its like its in drive. And all the other drives work, just no reverse or neutral. What happened?

Maybe it was anti-freeze?
Really, as the smell of transmission oil is somewhat different.
I'm only asking as you didnt say if there was any oil on the floor, or under the car, and have you dipped the tranny oil to see if its lost any?

Im almost positive it was antifreeze. But why would that make the transmission messed up?I haven't really messed with it since i got it back home.

Well the only relation between the auto box and anti-freeze is that the transmission is cooled via the radiator.
Those two pipes that run forward from the transmission then plumb into the radiator, carry auto fluid to the radiator to be cooled, then back to the box. If somethings over-heated or cracked around the radiator you might get a smell of anti-freeze, or if the transmission fluid is cooking the radiator, rare but not impossible.
I think its time to lift the hood and have a good look around.

Well,I checked my oil and tranny fluid levels and everything was fine.So i put it up on ramps and went underneath to have a look.My girlfriends brother adjusted the linkage for about 30 min or so going through all the gears and finally got it to work again. So i guess that the problem was that maybe the shift linkage came loose and just needed to be adjusted.
